Happy Easter to all! I woke up at dawn today to witness the easter festivities at our church today. It is called Salubong here in the Philippines and it involves two different processions at the same time. One bears the Virgin Mary and the other bears Jesus. They set out from church on different directions, circles the community, then set out to meet once again at the church. It is a fairly nice representation of The Resurrection of Christ that has been a tradition here since time immemorial. After that, Mass commences as usual.

For me personally, I celebrate Easter with a renewal of faith in Him. Please don’t get me wrong, I am not a religious person by nature. But I do believe in God. I do beieve that there’s an unseen force that watches over us and guides us. Like I said before, It is this faith that helps me endure all the hardships I am going through, and maybe the same goes with other people.

Happy Easter!

You might be wondering why posts with earlier dates keep popping up in this blog? Well, it’s because I’m used to writing darfts and just saves them rather than publishing them immediately. I guess it became a matter of habit for me, my impulsiiveness to write something whenever an idea pops in my head. I still have a draft or two in my repertoire that I promised myself to publish later on.

Anyways, it’s Lent and all around the world, people are relieving the passion of christ. For most of them, that is. For us dialysis patients, life goes on on the dialysis chair and we must continue our scheduled treatment sessions no matter what. I had a schedule last holy tuesday and one benefit was that the traffic was quite light due to the holidays.

But even though we follow our treatment regiments continously, it doesn’t mean that me ought to neglect our duties as christians. I for one is a man of faith and believes that this faith is one of the reasons that just keeps me going in spite of all the hardships I go through. For me, faith simply helps you to endure an otherwise unendurable circumstance.

The lenten season serves as a holiday for most people, a breather for some, and a chance at religious renewal for others. How about you? How did Lent went for you?
